and just as fleeting.
Moral chicken
They saw a film on
how poultry is killed. They cluck
as I eat hot wings.

All day my eyes itched
as if they were allergic
to viewing my life.
November rain
Wet dampness always
seems colder than that first soft
warm blanket of snow.
